It starts with the mountain. About 45 minutes up to the kunanyi summit, at more than 1,200 m, then about 25 minutes at the top with views over Hobart and the Derwent, out to Bruny Island on a clear day. Then about an hour's drive to Berriedale and about 2.5 hours at Mona, per the itinerary: time for the galleries, or a glass of Moorilla wine or a Moo Brew overlooking the Derwent. The drive back to the city takes about 25 minutes.

Included, per the listing: private transport, the driver guide, city pickup and drop-off, the time at the summit and an entry ticket to Mona. Not included: lunch. • Bring a warm jacket and good shoes. The listing says the weather at the summit can vary, and Mona involves moderate walking.
• The Wellington Park managers say Pinnacle Road can close in snow, ice or severe weather, and the listing says the itinerary may change with road and weather conditions.
• Mona is open Thursday to Monday, 10am to 5pm, and closed on Tuesdays and Wednesdays, per Mona's opening-hours page. Book a Thursday to Monday date.
